Clariant to Expand Market in National Chemical Industry

Clariant Indonesia is targeting business growth above 2013 Indonesia national GDP of 6%, by market penetration to textile industry by supplying environmentally-friendly chemical products. By using environmentally-friendly raw materials the domestic industry will be able to export its products to countries with high standard of consumer and environment safety.

Clariant Indonesia has reached revenue growth twice Indonesia national GDP in 2012. Hans Herrel, President Director of Clariant Indonesia is optimistic that in 2013, Clariant will be able to reach its target. To reach its target, Clariant Indonesia is ready to expand its business in Indonesia, by increasing its production capacity in Indonesia. Currently the value of increase is still confidential, but Herrel confirmed that they are now constructing its factory in Tangerang. Unfortunately Clariant Indonesia is still depending on imported raw materials for chemicals, as Indonesia chemicals upstream industry is not yet developed, and can only supply 20%-30% of raw materials for domestic industry.
